3.1.3 Doctoral Committee

The Ph.D. Committee has by-direction authority to approve:

1. advancement to candidacy;
2. passage of dissertation defense;
3. final degree nominations.

In addition, the Ph.D. Committee has by-direction authority to approve minor deviations from standard procedures for attaining a Ph.D. at the School.
