OC3266 Operational Acoustic Forecasting

Course emphasizes tactical use of the environment as a force multiplier in acoustic USW. Tactical guides involving ducts, fronts, eddies and bottom structure are examined in ange-dependent propagation loss models. Emerging tactics using LFA, VLF and Fixed Distributed systems and non-acoustic methods are reviewed.
