Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

·      describe how linear wave theory is applied to nearshore waves,

·      define and use wave radiation stress,

·      describe wave set-up/set-down,

·      understand the process of formation for infragravity waves,

·      understand Stokes drift/undertow rip currents, alongshore currents, and beach morphology/sediment transport.
