OS3004 Operations Research for Computer Systems Managers

A one-quarter survey of operations research techniques of particular interest to students in computer systems management. Topics covered include optimization, network flow models, simulation, queuing, forecasting techniques, Markov chains, decision analysis, reliability, and project management techniques. Spreadsheet models and analysis tools are an integral part of the course.
