EO3602 Electromagnetic Radiation, Scattering and Propagation

The principles of electromagnetic radiation are applied to antenna engineering, scattering, and propagation. The characteristics of various practical antenna types are considered including arrays and reflectors. Scattering concepts are introduced and propagation phenomena are considered. Applications include side lobe suppression, radar target scattering and stealth approaches, HF and satellite communications. This course is intended for students not in the 590 curriculum.
