CS3130 Software Design for Mobile Computers

This course introduces the student to rapid application development environments, programming languages, and operating systems used by commercial off-the-shelf handheld computers running operating systems such as Newton Intelligence, Magic Cap, GEOS, and PalmOS. The course includes a survey of devices, architectures, operating systems, and programming languages. Laboratory programming exercises will be required for at least one PDA-class operating system platform.
